Jx

Jx is a web framework where a project is just a folder of JSON and Markdown files. Routes come from the filesystem, components are JSON documents whose properties mirror the DOM, and server logic is declared next to the state it serves. Sites compile to static HTML, so they're fast to serve, have very little attack surface, and cost almost nothing to run. Jx is a project of Avunu LLC, and this website is built with it.

Features

• Declarative everything. Pages, styles, state, data, and server functions are documents validated against a JSON Schema generated from the web platform.

• Static by default. Pages are prerendered at build time; interactivity hydrates as islands, and static pages ship no JavaScript.

• Batteries included. Markdown content collections, design tokens, a responsive image pipeline, build-time search, Atom and JSON feeds, database connections, and authentication.

• Deploy anywhere. Adapters for Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare Pages, Node, and Bun.

• Jx Studio. A desktop visual editor with project, content, design, and script modes, built-in git, and real-time co-editing.

• Built for agents. jx schema and jx validate give AI tools the same contract a person uses, and edits land in your git diff like any other change.

Getting started

Create a project from a blank template or one of the starters, then run the dev server:

cd my-site
bun run dev
