Quotes, work orders, waivers, and agreements often need a customer's signature before work can start. eSign lets you collect that signature inside Frappe or ERPNext instead of printing, scanning, or paying for a separate e-signature service. You send a link, your customer signs on their phone or computer, and the signed PDF lands back on the document with a record of who signed and when.

Features

  • Signatures on any DocType. Turn on "eSign Enabled" for a web form and add one or more signature fields.

  • Guest signing. Signers use a secure, expiring share link and don't need an account. Endpoints are rate-limited.

  • Signed PDFs. A PDF in the print format you choose is generated in the background, attached to the document, and hashed with SHA-256.

  • Audit trail. Each signature records the signer's name, email, IP address, user agent, timestamp, and the fields signed, shown in the document timeline.

  • Workflow hooks. Set a field (for example, status to "Signed") or submit the document automatically when it's signed.

  • Mobile first. A touch-friendly signature pad, plus an optional "Force Mobile" mode that shows a QR code for signing on a touch screen.

Getting started

Install the app, create a web form for your DocType, and enable eSign on it. The README lists the setup steps and options.
